Our commitment

NextGen Aviation Academy is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability. We work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and to the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as applied to public-facing web content.

Measures we take

• Semantic HTML with proper landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) for assistive-technology navigation
• Descriptive alt text on all informational images; decorative images marked with empty alt
• Sufficient color contrast (text/background ratios meet or exceed 4.5:1 for body copy, 3:1 for large text)
• Keyboard-navigable interactive elements with visible focus indicators
• Form fields with associated labels and clear error messaging
• Content structured with proper heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3)
• Video, when present, includes captions and transcripts
• Responsive design that works across screen sizes, orientations, and zoom levels up to 200%
• Skip-to-content link and logical tab order
• Downloadable PDFs (aircraft POHs) provided in text-selectable format

Ongoing effort

Web accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We audit new features and content additions against WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines and rely on user feedback to identify issues we may have missed. We aim to fix accessibility issues within 15 business days of discovery.

Third-party content

Some portions of our site link to or embed content from third parties (e.g., FAA-hosted PDFs on faa.gov, financing partner pages, aviation weather services). We do not control the accessibility of these external resources but will point you to equivalent accessible alternatives whenever possible.

Alternate contact for essential services

If a section of our website is not accessible to you and you need help with time-sensitive tasks (booking a discovery flight, enrolling, requesting rental information, or paying an invoice), please call either campus during business hours and a team member will assist you personally. Business hours: Mon–Sat 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pacific (Riverside), 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific (Redlands).

Formal complaints

We treat every accessibility report seriously and respond within one business day. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under the Americans with Disabilities Act at ada.gov/file-a-complaint.
